Dimitrios “Jim” Kabitsis is the Communist Party of Canada (Ontario) candidate in Don Valley West, where he has lived for ten years. He has 2 daughters, 1 son, and 7 grandchildren.
A long-time progressive activist, Jim has fought to save and expand universal medicare, for quality universal public and post-secondary education available to all, and for Canada’s withdrawal from Afghanistan. He is a proud member of the Greek Canadian community and the Greek Canadian Democratic Organization.
Jim is an active member of Fair Vote Canada, campaigning for proportional representation to make Canada’s electoral system more democratic.
